An easy casserole that tastes great and makes terrific leftovers. Extrememly good. Ingredients:
1 cup onion, chopped |
1 cup green pepper, chopped |
1 tablespoon butter or 1 tablespoon margarine |
1 (28 ounce) can whole tomatoes, cut up |
2 teaspoons dried oregano |
1 lb ground beef, browned and drained |
12 ounces spaghetti, cooked and drained |
2 cups cheddar cheese, shredded |
1 (10 3/4 ounce) can condensed cream of mushroom soup |
1/4 cup water |
1/4 cup parmesan cheese, grated |
Directions:
1. In a large skillet, sauté onion and green pepper in butter until tender. Add tomatoes and oregano. Add ground beef. Simmer uncovered for 10 minutes. 2. Place half of the spaghetti in greased 13in x 9in x 2in baking dish. Top with half beef mixture. Sprinkle with 1 cup of the cheddar cheese. Repeat layers. 3. Mix the soup and water until smooth; pour over the casserole. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese. 4. Bake, uncovered at 350 degrees for 30-35 minutes. |
