This is a delicious potato casserole. Makes a great side dish for roasts and chops. Ingredients:
2 tb oil |
2 pkg. (20 oz. ea.) refrigerated shredded hash browns |
1-1/2 c shredded cheddar cheese |
1/2 c flour |
1 small onion,grated |
1/2 tsp black pepper |
1 egg,beaten |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 400' 2. Brush oil onto bottom and up sides of 13x9 baking dish. Combine all remaining ingredients except egg. Add egg;mix lightly. Press onto bottom of baking dish. 3. Bake 55 mins to 1 hour or till golden brown. Let stand 10 mins before cutting to serve. 4. Make ahead:Bake potato-egg mixture ahead of time. Cool,cover and refrigerate up to 24 hours. 5. When ready to serve,bake uncovered,in a 350' oven for 15-20 mins. or till heated thru. |
