Ingredients:
2 cups milk |
2 eggs, beaten |
1/4 cup sugar |
pinch of salt |
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract |
1 slice bread, cubed |
1/2 cup raisins |
ground cinnamon |
ground nutmeg |
Directions:
1. Combine milk, eggs, sugar, salt, and vanilla in a medium mixing bowl; beat well with a wire whisk. Stir in bread cubes and raisins. 2. Pour mixture into a lightly greased 1-quart casserole. Sprinkle with cinnamon and nutmeg. Place in an 8-inch square baking pan. Add warm water to pan to a depth of 1 inch. 3. Bake at 350° for 1 hour or until a knife inserted halfway between center and edge comes out clean. Spoon into individual serving dishes, and serve immediately. |
