When you don't want a lot to eat and something easy to fix try this. It's easy and quick to make. Serve over baked potatoes or rice. (Cooking time and ingredients do not include potatoes or rice.) Ingredients:
1 1/2 lbs ground beef |
1/2 cup green pepper, chopped |
1/4 cup onion, chopped |
1 garlic clove, minced |
1 tablespoon flour |
1 1/2 cups milk |
1/3 lb cheddar cheese, grated |
1/3 lb american cheese, grated |
1/4 teaspoon red pepper |
salt and pepper |
1/8 teaspoon dry mustard |
Directions:
1. Brown ground beef with peppers, onions and minced garlic. Drain excess fat. 2. Stir in flour and cook for 1-2 minutes. Add milk and cook until thickened. 3. Add cheeses and seasonings and heat through. Serve with baked potatoes. |
