This is a different peach recipe. Ingredients:
2 cups sliced fresh peaches, placed in bottom of 8 x 8 x2 inch pan. |
pour the following batter over peaches. |

3/4 cup sugar |
1/2 c. milk |
4 tbsps. butter |
1/2 tsp. salt |
1 tsp. baking powder |
1 c. flour |
combine sugar and butter. |
add other dry ingredients, alternately with milk. |
spread over fruit. |
Directions:
1. TOPPING: 2. Mix 1 cup of sugar with 1 tablespoon cornstarch and 1/4 teaspoon salt. 3. Sift this over batter. 4. Pour 1 cup boiling water over all. 5. Bake at 325 for 50 minutes. 6. Serve warm with cream. 7. Yield-12 serving. |
