This recipe goes with Orange-Basted Pork Roast Ingredients:
3 medium oranges, unpeeled |
1 cup sugar |
1 cup water |
1/4 cup plus 2 tablespoons light corn syrup |
Directions:
1. Place oranges in a medium saucepan; cover with water. Bring to a boil, and boil 30 minutes. Drain; let oranges cool to room temperature and quarter. 2. Combine remaining ingredients in a medium saucepan; stir well, and boil 5 minutes. 3. Place orange quarters in an 8-inch square pan. Pour sugar mixture over orange quarters; place pan on grill 6 to 8 inches from hot coals. Cook 1 1/2 hours, basting oranges with syrup occasionally. Use for basting pork. |
