Another Medieval recipe that's easy to make and sure to please. Ingredients:
1 pound mushrooms, whole (use fresh) |
1 celery rib, chopped |
2 green onions, thinly sliced |
1 tablespoon olive oil |
1/2 cup white wine or broth |
1/8 teaspoon salt |
1/8 teaspoon pepper |
Directions:
1. Spray an 8-inch square baking dish with non-stick spray. 2. Clean the mushrooms and place them in the prepared dish. 3. In a skillet, saute the celery and onion in oil until softened. 4. Stir in the wine or broth, salt and pepper. Heat through. 5. Pour this over the mushrooms. 6. Bake, uncovered, at 350-degrees F, for 20 to 30 minutes, stirring several times during cooking. 7.
