1- pound rice long grain or any rice you like......... i like jasmine rice |
1/2- cup sugar |
1 -cup milk |
1- pound of sweet mango puree....... |
1- cup double cream,...... |
1/2- teaspoon ground saffron |
2- teaspoons rose water |
1/2 cube butter or more if you like |
Directions:
1. preheat oven to 300 degrees f. 2. soak rice overnight 3. boil the milk until reduced by half 4. mix the mango puree, the cream and boiled milk in a bowl 5. then add the sugar saffron and rose water............. 6. boil the rice until very soft 7. in a deep dish baking pan ..... 8. put a layer of the rice.......... 9. then top with a layer of mango puree 10. repeat one more layer......... 11. dot with small chunks of butter on top 12. and place in the oven 13. cook until set......... or lightly browned approx 15 to 20 minutes |
