classic baked macaroni and cheese. serve with all your comfort meals. meatloaf, salisbury steaks, baked chicken, fried chicken, roasted turkey, sounds good right? Ingredients:
1 box macaroni noodles |
1 cup milk |
2 eggs |
3-4 cups of cheese (i prefer cheddar, but various blends add tons of flavor) |
salt and pepper |
1 stick of butter/margarine |
Directions:
1. preheat oven to 350 2. cook macaroni noodles in heavily salted water until done 3. drain and rinse under cool water 4. while noodles are cooking, beat eggs in to milk and season with salt and pepper 5. place a small layer of noodles in a baking dish and cover with some cheese and dot with butter. 6. repeat until the pan is filled, reserving about 1/2 cup of cheese for the top 7. pour milk and egg mixture over noodles 8. cover with remaining cheese 9. bake in oven for about 45 minutes until hot and bubbly and cheese starts to brown. |
