Layered Pasta Casserloe Ingredients:
8 ounces quinoa penne pasta |
8 ounces turkey sausage |
8 ounces lean ground beef |
26 ounces spaghetti sauce |
2 cups shredded mozzarella, divided |
10 ounces spinach, thawed and squeezed dry |
1 cup fat free ricotta |
1/2 cup grated parmesan |
1 egg |
2 tbsp chopped basil |
1 tsp salt |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350. Spray a 13X9 baking dish, with non-stick cooking spray. 2. Cook pasta according to directions, drain well, transfer to the prepared baking dish. 3. Brown sausage and ground beef in a large skillet over medium heat. Break up as you stir. Add pasta sauce; mix well. Add half of meat mixture to pasta and coat. 4. Combine 1 cup of the mozzarella cheese, spinach, ricotta, parmesan, basil, and salt in a medium bowl. Sppon small mounds of spinach cheese mixture over pasta mixture, and spread evenly. Top with remaining meat mixture; sprinkle remaining cup of mozzarella cheese. Bake 30 minutes or until bubbly. |
