Just an old-fashion pudding Ingredients:
3 cups milk |
3 tablespoons yellow cornmeal |
1/2 cup dark molasses |
1 egg |
1/2 cup sugar |
1 tablespoon melted butter |
1/2 teaspoon ground ginger |
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon |
salt |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 300 degrees. 2. Heat milk in a saucepan and when it come to a boil gradually stir in the cornmeal,using a wire whisk. 3. Cook,stirring constantly,until slightly thickened. 4. Stir in molasses. 5. Beat egg in a large mixing bowl and add sugar,butter,ginger,cinnamon and a pinch of salt. 6. Pour in the hot mixture,stirring rapidly. 7. When Thoroughly blended,pour mixture into a greased baking dish. 8. Bake 1 hour or until a knife inserted in the center comes out clean. |
