Ingredients:
1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar, divided |
1 cup boiling water |
3 tablespoons vinegar |
1 (5- to 5 1/2-pound) center-cut, fully cooked ham slice, about 3 inches thick |
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon |
1/4 teaspoon ground cloves |
Directions:
1. Combine 1/4 cup brown sugar, water, and vinegar, stirring well. Place ham slice in a greased roasting pan; pour brown sugar mixture over top. Bake, uncovered, at 350° for 1 hour, basting frequently. 2. Combine remaining brown sugar, cinnamon, and cloves. Sprinkle cinnamon mixture evenly over ham slice. Bake, uncovered, 1 additional hour, basting frequently with pan drippings. Let ham stand 10 minutes before slicing. |
