BAKED GARLIC CHEESE GRITS DATED 1965 This recipe came from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Baker Estate in Addison, Texas in 1984. Tried and true. Nothing fancy, but oh so good. Ingredients:
1 cup uncooked grits |
4 cups water |
1 tablespoon salt |
1/2 cup unsalted butter |
1/2 pound sharp cheddar cheese, grated |
2 tablespoons worcestershire sauce |
1 teaspoon garlic powder |
Directions:
1. Cook grits in salted water then when done add remaining ingredients. 2. Pour into greased casserole dish and bake at 350 for 20 minutes. |
