Ate this in Alabama at a country club brunch. It was so good I had to ask the chef how to make it! Amazingly, she was glad to share her recipe! Ingredients:
baked creamed corn |
melt 1 stick butter |
add 3 tbls. flour |
add 2 cups half and half |
1 tsp. sugar |
1 1/2 tsp. salt |
1/3 tsp. pepper |
mix well. |
add 2 lb. frozen (thawed) white or shoepeg corn |
stir together corn and cream mixture. bake uncovered at 350 degrees for one hour. |
um um good (but not dietetic!) |
Directions:
1. I have made this many times and think that the white corn is better than the shoepeg. You can find this frozen corn at WalMart. |
