A simple way to make the humble carrot more sophisticated. If you don't have cognac on hand, brandy will suffice. Ingredients:
1/4 cup butter, melted |
1 teaspoon granulated sugar |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
6 cups carrots, cut into 2-inch pieces |
1/4 cup cognac |
1 cup green seedless grape |
Directions:
1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. 2. Combine the butter, sugar and salt in a large shallow baking dish. 3. Stir in the carrots and pour the cognac over top. 4. Cover and bake for 45 minutes to 1 hour or until the carrots are done as you like. 5. Stir in the grapes and serve. |
