Baked Chicken With Pasta Sauce |

Hot and hearty and quick to prepare. Seasoned chicken breasts in a flavorful tomato sauce. Ingredients:
1 egg |
1 cup seasoned bread crumbs |
4 (6 ounce) boneless skinless chicken breast halves |
1 (26 ounce) jar garden-style pasta sauce |
1 cup mozzarella cheese |
hot cooked pasta (optional) |
Directions:
1. In a shallow bowl, beat the egg. 2. Place the bread crumbs in another shallow bowl. 3. Dip chicken in egg, then coat with crumbs. 4. Place in a 13x9x2 inch baking dish coated with nonstick cooking spray. 5. Bake, uncovered, at 400 for 20-22 minutes or until juices run clear. 6. Pour pasta sauce over chicken. 7. Sprinkle with cheese. 8. Bake 12-14 minutes longer or until sauce is bubbly and cheese is melted. 9. Serve over pasta if desired. |
