Great with a bowl of your favorite soup. Or with bacon and grits for breakfast. Very sinful...but so good! Hope you give them a try. Ingredients:
16 slices bread, crusts removed |
butter or margarine |
mustard |
8 slices velveeta cheese |
5 eggs |
3 cups milk |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1/4 teaspoon pepper |
Directions:
1. Butter both sides of bread. 2. Lay 8 slices in a 9x13 inch pan. 3. Spread mustard on top. 4. Cover each slice with velveeta cheese. 5. Cover with remaining bread slices. 6. In seperate bowl mix together eggs, milk, salt and pepper. Mix well. 7. Pour over bread and place in refrigerator overnight, or for at least 6 hours. 8. Bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour. 9. Cut into serving size pieces and serve hot. |
