This recipes comes from my sister who has made this as long as I can remember. It is a family favorite and one that will always be on a holiday and special occasion table. Easy but oh so good. Enjoy. Ingredients:
8 medium carrots pared and cut into 1” pieces |
20 ounce can pie sliced apples drained |
1/2 cup granulated sugar |
2 tablespoons butter |
paprika |
Directions:
1. Cook carrots in boiling salted water until tender. 2. Combine carrots and apples then pour into a pie plate. 3. Sprinkle with sugar then dot with butter. 4. Sprinkle carrots and apples with paprika then bake at 350 for 1 hour. |
