this is very good. my friend served this at a dinner party. she got it from a magazine. Ingredients:
1 sheet thawed puff pastry dough |
1 8-oz wheel brie cheese |
1 beaten egg |
3 tbsp honey |
1/4 c. butter |
1.5 tsp minced garlic |
2 tbsp chopped walnuts |
1 tbsp chopped fresh rosemary |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 400o. Roll out pastry on lightly floured surface. Place Brie in center and fold pastry around it, seeing seams by pressing with fork. 2. Transfer to baking sheet, seam side up. Brush pastry with beaten egg as glaze. Bake 18-20 minutes until pastry is golden. Cool for 30 minutes before serving. 3. Combine butter, honey and garlic in small saucepan and place over low heat to melt butter. Stir occasionally. Pour sauce on plate, sprinkle with walnuts and rosemary, reserving a bit of each for garnish. Place wrapped Brie atop sauce, garnish and serve with apples and sliced French bread. YUM! |
