Baked Blueberry French Toast with Blueberry Maple Syrup

Directions:
1. For the French Toast, process:
2. pkg. cream cheese, softened (8 oz)
3. /4 c. brown sugar
4. t. orange zest
5. slices cinnamon swirl bread
6. Whisk:
7. eggs
8. /2 c. whole milk
9. t. almond extract
10. t. vanilla extract
11. /2 t. cinnamon
12. /4 t. nutmeg
13. For Topping, sprinkle:
14. c. fresh or frozen blueberries
15. / c. slivered almonds
16. Melt:
17. T. unsalted butter
18. /4 c. brown sugar
19. For Syrup, combine:
20. c. blueberries
21. /2 c. maple syrup
22. T. fresh orange juice
23. Coat 9x5x3 in pan with spray. For French Toast, process cream cheese, brown sugar, and zest in food processor until smooth.
24. Line bottom of baking dish with bread slices, cutting pieces to fit. Spread 1/2 of cream cheese mix on top of bread. Continue layering bread and cream cheese, ending with bread. Whisk eggs, milk, almond extract, vanilla, cinnamon and nutmeg; pour over top of bread. Cover and refrigerate 8 hrs. or overnight.
25. Preheat oven to 375. For topping, sprinkle c. blueberries and almonds over top of french toast. Melt together butter and 1/4 c. brown sugar and drizzel over French toast then bake until bubbly and set (about 45 minutes. Remove and let stand for 15 minutes.
26. For Syrup combine 1 c. blueberries, syrup and oj in small pan. Simmer syrup until heated through, about 10 minutes.
