Ingredients:
1 1/2 teaspoons dried thyme, divided |
3 tablespoons water |
1/2 teaspoon garlic salt |
1/2 teaspoon dried oregano |
1 dash paprika |
1 dash pepper |
1 1/4 lbs lean ground beef |
1/4 cup flour |
1 egg, beaten |
1/2 cup seasoned bread crumbs |
2 tablespoons butter or 2 tablespoons margarine |
1 cup spaghetti sauce |
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese |
2 tablespoons grated parmesan cheese |
Directions:
1. In a large bowl, combine 1/2 t. 2. dried thyme, water, garlic salt, oregano, paprika, and pepper. 3. Add beef; mix well. 4. Shape into 4 patties. 5. Coat patties with flour; dip in egg and then crumbs. 6. In a skillet, brown patties in butter. 7. Arrange in a greased shallow baking dish. 8. Pour half of the spaghetti sauce over patties. 9. Sprinkle with cheeses; top with remaining sauce. 10. Sprinkle with remaining thyme. 11. Bake at 400 degrees for 25 minutes or until meat is no longer pink. 12. Serve. |
