My aunt has been bringing these beans to cookouts for as long as I can remember. She finally parted with the recipe. I was surprised at the ease. They bake up so good. Ingredients:
3 (28 ounce) cans of prepared pork and beans |
1 teaspoon of minced onion |
1 teaspoon spicy brown mustard |
1 cup packed brown sugar |
3/4 cup ketchup, plus |
1 tablespoon ketchup |
5 slices of crispy cooked bacon (crumbled) |
Directions:
1. Combine all ingredients and place in greased 3 quart baking dish. 2. Bake uncovered 300 degrees for 2 hours. |
