Much lower in sugar than normal beaked beans. I like to use butter beans as well for this too. Ingredients:
1 tablespoon olive oil |
1 small onion, chopped |
1 garlic clove, crushed |
1 stalk celery, chopped |
400 g haricot beans, rinsed and drained |
250 g chopped tomatoes |
4 teaspoons soy sauce |
50 ml apple juice |
Directions:
1. Heat oil and soften onion. 2. Add garlic and celery and cook for another minute. 3. Add tomatoes, beans, soy and juice. Simmer for 10 minutes until thickened. |
