I got this recipe from a social worker at the hospital I work at. It's a great side dish for potlucks and barbecues, and tastes so much better than canned baked beans! I usually use the full pound of bacon-just a personal preference. Ingredients:
1/2-1 lb bacon |
1 large onion, chopped |
1 (15 ounce) can pork and beans |
1 (15 ounce) can kidney beans, drained |
1 (15 ounce) can lima beans, drained |
1 cup ketchup |
1 cup brown sugar |
1 tablespoon mustard |
1/2 teaspoon tabasco sauce |
1 teaspoon worcestershire sauce |
Directions:
1. Brown bacon with onion, drain. 2. Add beans. Mix in other ingredients and mix thoroughly. 3. Bake in a 2 quart casserole dish for 1 hour at 350 degrees. |
