My cousin brought these to a picnic - they were the best I ever tasted. From the kitchen of Tamara Vandegrift Easley, Rolla MO. Ingredients:
2 (16 ounce) cans pork & beans |
1/2 cup brown sugar |
1/2 medium onion, chopped |
1/2 green bell pepper, chopped |
1 teaspoon dry mustard |
salt and pepper |
6 bacon, slices |
Directions:
1. Combine first 5 ingredients. Add salt and pepper to suit your taste. Put in greased baking dish. Top with bacon slices. Bake at 350 degrees for 45-60 minutes or until bacon is crisp. |
