Baked Apples Stuffed With Halvah |

This dessert is very easy to do and good enough for company. Ingredients:
4 baking apples, peeled and cored |
butter |
1 cup halvah, crumbled (greek sesame seed candy) |
1 cup white wine |
1 cinnamon stick |
unsweetened whipped cream or vanilla ice cream |
Directions:
1. Generously butter apples inside and out. 2. Stuff with crumbled halvah. 3. Place in a small, shallow baking dish and pour wine around the apples. 4. Add cinnamon stick. 5. Bake at 375F for about 40-45 minutes, or until apples are tender when pierced with a fork. 6. Serve warm, with juices, and a dollop of lightly sweetened whipped cream or some vanilla ice cream to gild the lily. |
