Baked Apples Stuffed With Cranberry Relish |

BAKED APPLES STUFFED WITH CRANBERRY RELISH This recipe came from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Brimley Estate in Garland, Texas in 1999. Ingredients:
2 cups cranberries |
1 large orange |
2 shots cherry brandy |
1 cup granulated sugar |
1 fresh lemon |
8 apples apple cored with lid cut off |
8 tablespoons granulated sugar |
Directions:
1. Combine all ingredients except apples and 8 tablespoons sugar in food processor. 2. Blend to a coarse consistency let sit a few minutes. 3. Put 3 tablespoons relish each apple then place in large baking dish. 4. Sprinkle each with 1 tablespoon sugar and bake at 375 for 20 minutes. |
