This is a fun fall side dish . The apple cider and squash taste very good together. This recipe is from a friend. Ingredients:
2 medium acorn squash, sliced crosswise in 1-inch circles, seeds removed |
1/2 cup apple cider or apple juice |
1/4 cup brown sugar |
1/2 tsp salt |
1/8 tsp ground cinnamon |
1/8 tsp ground mace |
Directions:
1. Place squash in a 15 x 10 x 1-inch baking pan. 2. Pour cider or juice over squash 3. combine remaining ingredients and sprinkle on top 4. Cover with foil 5. Bake at 325* for 45 minutes or until squash is tender |
