This is a rich smooth Irish chocolate dessert that reminds you of a French pot de crème au chocolate……..serve these little pots with some fresh fruit like strawberries, or delicate cookies………. .courtesy of the Irish spirit Ingredients:
1 - cup heavy ( whipping ) cream |
5- ounces unsweetened chocolate, broken into small pieces |
1- large egg , beaten |
1- tablespoon baileys irish cream liqueur |
Directions:
1. In a small saucepan over medium heat , heat the cream to almost boiling 2. Reduce the heat to low, add the chocolate, and simmer for 5- 7 minutes, or until the chocolate is melted and the mixture is smooth 3. Whisk in the egg and liqueur and cook for 2 to 3 minutes , or until the mixture thickens 4. Pour the mixture into 6 ( 4 ounce) ramekins and refrigerate for at least 24 hours or until the puddings are set 5. Serve with oatmeal or lace cookies and fresh strawberries…… 6. serve 4. |
