Bailey Switch is our property in Mississippi where the pecans are plentiful and delicious. This is our favorite dessert when the nuts fall! Ingredients:
1 cup brown sugar |
1/4 cup sugar |
3/4 cup light corn syrup |
1/4 teaspoon salt |
1 teaspoon vanilla |
1/4 cup butter |
4 eggs, lightly beaten |
1 1/2 cups pecans |
9 inches pie crusts |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. 2. In a medium sauce pan melt the butter. 3. Add sugar, corn syrup, salt and vanilla and stir until sugar dissolves and all is incorporated. 4. Remove from the heat, let cool to room temperature. 5. Then stir into the eggs, and stir in the pecans. 6. Pour into the pie shell and bake 40 minutes. |
