An alternative to pumpkin pie that is significantly better (and badder). I've tried the other versions of this better than or dump cake , but this recipe is the tastiest and naughtiest. Ingredients:
29 ounces pumpkin |
12 ounces evaporated milk |
1 cup brown sugar |
1 cup granulated sugar |
1 teaspoon vanilla |
1 teaspoon ground allspice |
1 teaspoon cinnamon |
3 eggs |
18 ounces yellow cake mix |
1/2 cup butter (melted) |
1/2 cup pecans (optional) |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350. 2. Mix pumpkin, milk, sugars, and spices together. 3. Pour in a 9 x 13 pan and dump yellow cake mix over the top. 4. Then add nuts if desired and drizzle the melted butter over the top. 5. Bake for 45-60 minutes. 6. Serve with whipped cream or ice cream. |
