Bacon Wrapped Water Chestnuts |

From my Clan Christmas Party To make GF make sure you use a wheat free soy sauce and a malt vinegar free steak sauce. Ingredients:
3 (240 ml) cans water chestnuts, whole |
2 lbs bacon, slices, cut in half |
1/2 cup catsup |
1 cup barbecue sauce |
2 teaspoons tabasco sauce |
3 teaspoons soy sauce |
2 tablespoons a-1 steak sauce |
2 teaspoons cajun hot pepper sauce |
2 tablespoons realime juice |
1/2 cup sugar |
Directions:
1. Wrap bacon around water chestnuts and secure with toothpicks. Bake on foil-lined baking sheet. 2. (I suggest broiler tray, or better still on BBQ & leave the smoke outside). 3. at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Pour off grease. 4. Blend other ingredients into a sauce in blender. 5. Dip bacon wrapped chestnuts in sauce and bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes. |
