This is one of hubby's SPECIALTIES!! The first time I ever had scallops, I was 14 and went to Nova Scotia for a summer vacation. It was the first time I tried lobster and when I was asked if I'd like to try scallops I was TERRIBLY disappointed, guess they weren't cooked properly. Read more ...over the years I kept trying them and still didn't like them until hubby made them at home and after trying them, I was HOOKED! Ingredients:
marinade |
juice of full orange |
juice of 1/2 lemon |
juice of 1/2 lime |
1/2 tsp. minced garlic |
worchestershire sauce and fresh cracked black pepper to taste |
12 scallops |
Directions:
1. Marinate scallops for an hour. Wrap with 1/2 slice of bacon and secure with toothpick. 2. Grill method: 3. Place on preheated grill on high heat until bacon is cooked, about 5 minutes. 4. Frying Pan: 5. Put 1 tsp. vegetable oil to pan and heat. Place scallops in pan and cook for a couple minutes per side. 6. Serve Immediately! 7. These are delicious and excellent for entertaining. Best served as 4-6 per serving. 8. We have had these for surf and turf meals with shrimp, steak and baked potatoes. |
