BACON WRAPPED MUSHROOMS This is a recipe I obtained from an Estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Elmhurst Estate in Heath, Texas in 1981. Ingredients:
1 pound bacon |
1 pound fresh mushrooms washed |
Directions:
1. Cut mushrooms in half and slice bacon in half width-wise at an angle. 2. Take a slice of bacon and wrap it around a mushroom half overlapping ends. 3. Poke a toothpick about halfway into mushroom at overlap. 4. Repeat this for each bacon slice and mushroom half. 5. Preheat oven to 350 then arrange mushrooms on a drip pan 1/2 apart. 6. Bake 20 minutes then serve hot. |
