A very simple spread that came about while creating a shortcut preparation for another of my recipes. I had a lil of the filling left, added dill and onion to it and spread it into mini peppers, cucumbers and used it as a cracker spread. Read more . Once tomatoes are over flowing, I will be stuffing cherry tomatoes with it, too. Ingredients:
8oz cream cheese, very soft |
1t worcestershire sauce |
1t fresh lemon or lime juice |
couple dashes of liquid smoke |
3t fresh dill, minced or sub 1t dried |
1t grated fresh onion, dried minced or green onion |
1/2lb thick cut bacon, cooked til crisp and crumbled fine(i much prefer baking bacon, these days. so easy and the entire lb gets done at the same time |
Directions:
1. Combine all ingredients. Let rest in fridge for at least a few hours, especially if using dried ingredients like the dill and/or onion. 2. Spread in or on various veggies, crackers, or toasted bread rounds. |
