Bacon & Sharp Cheddar Quiche |

Homemade quiche from scratch! Ingredients:
2 unbaked pie crusts |
7 eggs |
2 cups heavy cream |
2 cups cheddar cheese |
1 cup bacon |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1/2 teaspoon pepper |
2/3 teaspoon nutmeg |
1/2 cup cottage cheese |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 375. 2. Bake both piecrusts for 11 minutes. 3. Remove from oven and immediately brush with yolk of 1 egg. 4. Mix all ingredients except bacon and cheese together (use remaining egg white). 5. Place 1/2 cup bacon and 1 cup of cheddar into each piecrust. Cover with egg mixture. 6. Bake at 375 for 38 - 40 minutes. |
