This is a quick and easy appetizer . Ingredients:
16 slices white sandwich bread, crusts trimmed |
1 8 ounce pkg. cream cheese, room temperature |
8 slices bacon, cut in 1/2 |
toothpicks |
Directions:
1. With a rolling pin, flatten out the bread slices. 2. Spread each slice with a generous amount of cream cheese. 3. Roll tightly into cigar shape. 4. Wrap each cigar with a 1/2 slice of bacon and secure with a toothpick. 5. Place on a foil lined cookie sheet. 6. Bake at 350 degrees until bacon is crispy and bread is browned. 7. Cut in 1/2 and serve while warm. 8. For added interest, place an asparagus spear on the bread before rolling. 9. YUMMY!!! |
