So easy and great tasting! Ingredients:
1 16-oz. hawaiian bread loaf, cut into 3/4-inch cubes |
2 cups finely shredded mexican four-cheese blend (8oz.) |
1/2 pound bacon, cooked & crumbled (8slices) |
8 large eggs |
2-1/2 cups milk |
1/2 tsp. salt |
1/2 tsp. pepper |
1 tsp. dry mustard |
1/2 tsp. worcestershire sauce |
salsa or sliced fresh tomatoes |
Directions:
1. Assemble this dish the night before, and bake the next morning. Hawaiian bread can be found in the deli section of the supermarket. Substitute 10 to 12 white bread slices, cubed, for Hawaiian bread if desired. 2. ~~~~~~ 3. ARRANGE bread cubes in a lightly greased 13-x9-inch baking dish. 4. Sprinkle with shredded cheese and crumbled bacon. 5. WHISK together eggs, milk, salt, pepper, mustard and Worcestershire sauce. 6. Pour over prepared dish; press down bread cubes with a spoon to allow bread to soak up liquid. 7. Cover and chill eight hours. 8. Let stand 30 minutes before baking. 9. BAKE at 350F for 35 minutes or until set and golden. 10. Serve with salsa or sliced fresh tomatoes. |
