This soup has a little kick to it and is thick enough to stick to the ribs on a cold winter day. It has lots of vegetables making it quite healthy and satisfying. Ingredients:
1/2 lb bacon |
1 lb of ground turkey or chicken |
1 chopped onion |
1 cup chopped celery |
1 cup chopped carrot |
1 chopped red and green pepper |
7 cup chicken stock |
3 cups diced red potato |
1/2 tsp tyme |
salt & pepper to taste |
1/2 cup frozen corn |
1 tbsp red pepper flakes |
1/4 c flour |
3/4 evaporated milk |
1 tbsp dijon mustard |
Directions:
1. Fry chopped bacon. 2. Remove then fry ground chicken. 3. Add everything except flour, milk & mustard to crock pot and put on low for 8 hrs. 4. Mix flour, milk & mustard together and add 1 hour before serving. |
