Found in Country Home magazine, this is very good Ingredients:
3 slices bacon, chopped |
1 large onion, quartered and sliced |
1 (16 oz) pkg frozen lima beans |
1 (16 oz) pkg frozen butter beans |
1/2 cup chicken broth |
salt and pepper |
Directions:
1. In large skillet cook bacon and onion until onion is tender. Stir in thawed beans and broth. Bring to boiling. Reduce heat and simmer, 8 minutes or until beans are tender, stirring occasionally. Uncover and cook for 1 to 2 minutes more or until lightly browned and liquid is evaporated. Stir occasionally. Season to taste with salt and pepper. |
