fried carrots and onion with bacon and a dash of sugar Ingredients:
1 lb peeled sliced carrots |
1 medium onion, peeled and chopped |
4 slices bacon |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper |
2 teaspoons brown sugar |
Directions:
1. in skillet cook bacon until srisp, remove and set aside 2. add carrots and onion to bacon drippings, sprinkle with seasonings cover and cook slowly 15 minuites or until just tender 3. uncover and cook, turning occasionally, until carrots are slightly browned 4. crumble bacon and add to carrots in warm serving dish |
