I was recently reminded of these unusual cookies. They are good! Better than you might imagine. Enjoy them as a dessert cookie and as a breakfast cookie. Ingredients:
1/2 pound bacon |
1/2 cup butter |
3/4 cup sugar |
1 egg |
1 teaspoon of vanilla |
1 cup of flour |
1/4 teaspoon baking soda |
2 cups of multi-grain flakes (i use kashi) |
1/2 cup raisins |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees; 2. Cook bacon until crisp; drain well and crumble into pieces; 3. Beat together butter and sugar until light and fluffy; beat in egg and vanilla; 4. Combine flour and baking soda; stir into butter mixture; 5. Stir in crumbled bacon, multi-grain flakes and raisins; 6. Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet; 7. Bake for 15-18 minutes; 8. Cool before storing IF you can stop eating them! |
