Bacon Cheeseburger Meatloaf |

I have finally found a meatloaf that my kids will eat and they even asked to have again. This was a first in our family since my wife and I like meatloaf but the kids did not until they tried this one. Our neighbor tried this on her family and they all thought it was great also. Found it in a magazine at the doctors office. Ingredients:
2 lbs 96% lean ground beef |
3 ounces pkg.oscar mayer bacon bits |
1 (8 ounce) package medium cheddar (shredded) |
1 egg |
1 cup quick-cooking oats |
1 medium onion (chopped) |
1/2 cup light mayonnaise |
1/2 cup ketchup |
2 tablespoons worcestershire sauce |
1/2 teaspoon black pepper |
1/3 cup ketchup |
2 tablespoons yellow mustard |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 370 degrees. 2. In large bowl combine the first 10 ingredents mixing well. Form mixture into a loaf and place on a rack inside of a slightly sided pan (enough to contain fat drippings) and place into oven. Bake for 90 minutes. While meatloaf is baking mix the last 2 ingredients and set aside to use as a topping. After 90 minutes remove meatloaf and spread topping mixture on top. Place meatloaf back in oven and bake another 15 minutes or until center of meatloaf is 160 degrees. |
