Found this in a Food and Wine Magazine in my doctor's office. Posting for safe keeping. Ingredients:
1/2 cup light brown sugar |
1 1/2 teaspoons chili powder |
20 slices bacon (thick cut, about 1.5 lbs) |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. 2. Line two rimmed baking sheets with foil. 3. Whisk sugar and chili powder together. 4. Arrange bacon strips on foil and coat with chili sugar. 5. Bake 20-25 minutes until carmelized and almost crisp. 6. Transfer to a rack set over a sheet of foil. Cool completely. Serve. 7. Note: This can be made earlier in the day. Store at room temperature. |
