BACON CABBAGE AND PASTA SOUP This recipe came from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Cabrera Estate in Malakoff, Texas in 1986. Ingredients:
4 slices bacon cut up |
2 cups coarsely shredded cabbage |
2 cans beef 1 broth |
16 ounce package frozen pasta and vegetables |
2 teaspoons accent garden herb seasoning |
Directions:
1. Cook bacon in large saucepan until crisp then remove and drain well on paper towels. 2. Crumble bacon and cook cabbage in broth until crisp tender. 3. Stir bacon, broth, frozen vegetables and pasta and water into cabbage. 4. Bring to a boil and stir then reduce heat and cover then simmer 8 minutes. |
