Ingredients:
1 pound(s) bacon |
4 eggs |
4 egg yolks |
1 1/4 cup(s) milk |
2 cup(s) heavy cream |
1 teaspoon(s) salt |
1/2 teaspoon(s) pepper |
1 teaspoon(s) dry mustard |
1 dash(es) nutmeg |
3 cup(s) swiss cheese grated |
2 9 in deep dish pie crusts |
Directions:
1. Fry bacon and allow to cool on paper towel. 2. Preheat oven to 350*F 3. Beat eggs and yolks together. Gradually blend milk, cream and spices into eggs. When mixed, stir in cheese. 4. Sprinkle bottom of pie crust with crumbled bacon. Pour in egg/cheese mixture and bake in pre-heated 350*F oven for 35-40 minutes until firm in the center. 5. Makes two 9in quiches. |
