Bacon And Cheese Cornbread |

Another of my good ole Southern recipes. Ingredients:
1 mixed up batter of my recipe for mamma's cornbread (else where in my recipes) |
1/2 c. grated sharp cheddar cheese |
6 slices bacon,crispy cooked and crumbled |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 450°F. 2. Save about 1 tablespoon of cheese and bacon and put rest in the cornbread batter and stir well. 3. Pour batter into a well greased large iron skillet for best results. 4. bake for 20 minutes then sprinkle reserved cheese and bacon on top and bake for another 10 to 15 minutes or until golden brown and firm. |
