Bacon, cheese, beer and bread-what else do you need? Makes a great tomato sandwich. Ingredients:
4 slices lean bacon, cooked and crumbled |
1/2 cup cheddar cheese, finely diced |
3 cups self-rising flour |
2 tbsp. granulated sugar |
1 can beer |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350ºF. Spray loaf pan with vegetable oil spray. 2. Mix the flour, sugar, bacon and cheddar in a non-metal bowl. Add the can of beer. Stir with a wooden spoon. Spoon into the loaf pan. 3. Place the oven rack in the upper middle position. Bake the bread on the rack for about 50 minutes or until tester into center comes out clean. 4. Let rest 10 minutes in pan. Remove from pan and let cool completely before slicing. |
