delicious rum cake that is easy to make. Ingredients:
1/2 cup chopped pecans |
4 eggs |
1 box duncan hines butter cake mix |
1 (3 3/4 oz) box vanilla instant pudding |
1/2 cup light rum |
1/2 cup water |
1/2 cup vegetable oil |
hot rum glaze |
1 cup sugar |
1/2 stick of butter |
3 tablespoons water |
1/4 cup rum |
1/2 cup chopped pecans |
Directions:
1. preeat oven to 325 2. grease and flower bundt pan 3. sprinkle nuts in bottom of pan. 4. in a large bowl place cake mix and pudding mix 5. add rum, water, eggs, and oil 6. mix for 2 minutes on medium speed. until smooth 7. pour mixture into bundt pan and bake at 325 for 50 to 60 minutes 8. remove from oven and pour hot glaze over cake while its still in te pan. 9. The hot glaze will cause the cake to settle 10. cool in pan for 30 minutes then remove to serving plate. 11. Hot Rum Glaze: 12. when cake is almost done 13. place all ingredients in a small sauce pan and boil for 2 minutes, until syrupy. 14. Pour over cake immediately as it comes out of the oven. |
