I find most protein drinks taste terrible, are gritty, etc. This one is delicious - even my teenage son and husband who hates cottage cheese will drink it. Add a scoop of protein powder if you'd like. I'm editing this to say that the calorie count on Zaar is incorrect. If you use lowfat cottage cheese, the calorie count is actually 250 calories per serving. I have also discovered a wonderful new way to flavor this. I omit the vanilla and grate some fresh nutmeg in, then a little cinnamon and blend. Makes it taste somewhat noggy .
Ingredients:
1 cup vanilla-flavored soymilk
1/2 cup small curd cottage cheese
1/2 cup egg beaters egg substitute
1/2 tablespoon vanilla
1/3-1/2 cup splenda sugar substitute, to taste
Directions:
1. Put all ingredients in a blender (you can add a couple of cubes of ice if you'd like) and blend til smooth.
